The Opportunity:
Our client is a dynamic organization in the alternative medicine industry, focused on delivering innovative health and wellness solutions. As an Accounting Manager, you will be at the forefront of financial leadership within a fast-evolving sector, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all accounting functions. Responsibilities:
Supervise and develop Accounting team members to foster high performance and professional growth. Perform and review key accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, monthly and annual closings, and financial reporting to the parent company. Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support management decision-making. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal controls. Act as liaison with the parent company, external auditors, and tax professionals. Handle payroll accounting, including review and preparation of payroll data, journal entries, and reconciliations. Manage day-to-day cash flows and maintain appropriate liquidity levels. Review and optimize accounting and operational workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control. Drive process improvement initiatives for greater automation and reporting accuracy. Ensure timely completion of all tax and compliance activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Must-Have Skills:
5+ years' experience in an accounting role. Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese. Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance. Experience in cost accounting and payroll processes. Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills. Proficiency with MS Office, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Demonstrated ability to improve employee morale and foster professional growth. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and coaching abilities. Experience in budget planning, enforcement, and customer service procedures. Familiarity with process optimization and automation in accounting systems. Willingness to participate in continuing education and skill development opportunities. Experience liaising with international parent companies and external auditors. Ability to adapt to extended hours during company events and meetings.

$100,000.00
