This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, developing others, and partnering directly with senior financial leadership. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee key accounting functions across Kinetiflo Group. This position reports directly to the CFO, who is based on-site, and supervises one direct report, the Staff Accountant. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, the annual external audit, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, advanced Excel skills, NetSuite and AP automation experience, and a desire to grow within the organization. What You'll Do
- Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage general ledger accounting activities.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries and standard accrual entries.
- Perform and review bank and account reconciliations.
- Identify discrepancies and ensure accounting entries are accurate and properly corrected.
- Manage and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports for CFO and management review.
- Assist with budgeting and financial analysis.
- Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries.
- Own the annual external audit process, including coordination with external auditors, preparation and review of PBC schedules, and management of audit requests across multiple business units. Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise, train, and provide day-to-day guidance to the Staff Accountant.
- Review work completed by the Staff Accountant to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Support accounts payable processes and AP automation initiatives.
- Promote consistent accounting procedures across Kinetiflo locations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, reporting, and efficiency.
- Partner directly with the CFO and other key stakeholders on accounting, financial reporting, audit, and process improvement initiatives. Multi-Site Support
- Travel periodically to Kinetiflo locations to learn site operations, support accounting processes, and train team members.
- Partner with employees and leadership across multiple company locations.
- Take on additional accounting and finance responsibilities as the organization continues to grow. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree not required but helpful
- Five plus years of progressive accounting experience.
- Manufacturing or distribution accounting experience required.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, closing processes, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience leading annual financial statement audits from the company/client side, including managing external auditor relationships, PBC schedules, supporting documentation, and audit issue resolution.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- NetSuite experience required.
- AP automation or automated accounting process experience in either Ramp or Bill.com.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a growing, multi-location organization.
- Willingness to travel, based on business needs.
