Job Description
HIRING:
Accounting Manager | Jacksonville, FL, 32210 We're partnering with a nonprofit organization seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager who can step in, solve accounting issues, improve processes, and make an immediate impact. This is NOT a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. We're looking for a technically strong accountant who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working across AR, AP, reconciliations, GL, and month-end close. 💼 What you'll be doing:- Reconcile customer accounts from invoice → payment → outstanding balance
- Research cash application, unapplied payments & discrepancies
- Support AR and collection efforts
- Oversee and support the full AP process
- Prepare journal entries, accruals & account reconciliations
- Play a hands-on role in month-end close
- Identify root causes of accounting issues and improve processes
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting workflows
- Train, coach & develop an AP Specialist
- Serve as a key resource for Sage Intacct
- Explore practical ways to leverage technology & AI to improve efficiency ⭐ What we're looking for: ✔️ Strong Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant experience ✔️ Recent, hands-on Sage Intacct experience —
