Full Job Description Job Summary:
Consultants are seasoned, subject matter experts who apply specialized technical and general accounting knowledge, typically as an individual contributor, in matters that require special interpretation or expertise. They participate in and/or lead critical, high-risk, complex initiatives, programs and projects, have frequent contact with internal and external business partners, facilitate/ influence strategic thinking and direction and influence peers and leaders across the organization to act on issues that have organization-wide impact. This consultant role requires technical and general accounting knowledge and experience and requires accounting research and the preparation of various key deliverables as described below.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned. Preparation of the audited financial statements, cash flow statements, accounting memos, accounting analysis under GAAP and statutory accounting standards, Board presentations and other information. This information is presented to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and the external auditors. Provides subject matter expertise, consultation and integration activities for various accounting standards and financial processes working with senior leaders internal and external to the organization. Performs review of statutory journal entries, financial statements and disclosures. Facilitates creative/innovative thinking with finance leadership and business partners to generate solutions and decision-making for business issues/problems, and/or recommendations. Provides leadership, direction, coaching and input to affect positive change for workgroups and/or business partners. Serves as integration point for internal and external business partners to resolve financial issues while enforcing policies and procedures and mitigating financial risk and safeguarding assets.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years related work experience. Experience Details General Accounting Experience Related Bachelor's degree required in
Accounting or Finance Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) Insurance industry accounting experience, including statutory accounting Professional designation -CPA preferred Supervisory/management experience

Annualized Salary Range:
$109,300 - $177,600
Typical Annualized Hiring Range:
$109,300 - $136,600 Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
