Job Description

Interstate Batteries of Miami is an established B2B company with a genuine desire to bring the very best product to the marketplace partnered with the best service. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable/Full Charge Bookkeeper with Quick Books online experience to oversee the financial transactions of our company. The ideal candidate will be hands on and responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager will work closely with other departments to streamline financial operations and maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must have a proven track record in accounts receivable. This is a high intensity acccounts receivable position that needs someone that works well under pressure and is up for the task.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions of the company, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts. Must have knowledge in ACH, Zelle and sending QB links. Must be fast paced and innovative.
  • Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and other financial documents for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial transactions, ensuring timely payment of bills and collection of receivables.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable records with general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as the sales team, to resolve billing and payment issues and address customer/vendor inquiries.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis related to accounts payable and receivable activities for management review.
  • Assist with month-ending financial reporting
  • Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Proficient Quick books online, not desktop but the online version is a must
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Demonstrates a High level of Professionalism
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in accounts payable and receivable management, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Bank reconciliation Excellent Phone skills
Skills:
Proven bookkeeping experience. Must be a proficient multitasker. Solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable principles. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. Must have proficiency in Online QuickBooks. Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers and must be computer proficient. Proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs including Excel Conditional formatting in Excel is a must Must be a professional and detail oriented. Excellent Customer service. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Have a BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field or, Equivalent to a minimum of 5 years working in Accounting, QuickBooks, MS Excel, etc. Full Background check and drug testing is performed upon hire.
