We give our guests the Medallion Class experience others simply can't. The Love Boat promises something for everyone. We are looking for a Manager, Revenue Systems & Controls. The Manager, Revenue Systems & Controls is responsible for leading the day-to-day operational execution, support, and continuous improvement of revenue systems and related controls across Princess Cruises' shipboard and shoreside operations. This role helps ensure revenue systems are configured, supported, and maintained effectively to support accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with established policies and procedures. The position provides leadership over operational activities including system configuration, production support, testing, deployments, training, policy execution, and operational readiness. The Manager is responsible for ensuring system stability, supporting business operations, and promoting consistent execution of revenue-related processes across the fleet. Key responsibilities include overseeing revenue system activities such as voucher and type code governance, system configuration, issue resolution, testing coordination, deployment readiness, training, documentation, and operational support. The role manages assigned team members and works closely with Finance, Operations, Shipboard Finance, Revenue Accounting, Audit, Compliance, and Information Technology teams to support system enhancements, operational initiatives, and ongoing business needs. Responsibilities:
Revenue Systems Operations & Governance:
Provide leadership and oversight for revenue system configuration, voucher and type code governance, production support, issue resolution, and operational readiness activities supporting onboard revenue systems and related financial processes. Coordinate operational support activities, monitor system performance, support deployment activities, and ensure consistency in execution across supported systems and processes. Support ongoing governance of revenue-related systems, including voucher and type code management, system configurations, testing activities, operational documentation, and control execution.
Team Leadership & Resource Management:
Directly manage assigned team members and provide leadership, coaching, workload management, performance oversight, succession planning, and professional development. Ensure resources are appropriately aligned to support operational priorities, projects, and ongoing system support activities.
Testing, Deployment & Operational Readiness:
Coordinate participation in QA, UAT, field validation, and deployment activities. Ensure system changes are properly tested, documented, and transitioned into production. Support financial testing governance processes, including tracking, reconciliation, and resolution of test transactions. Monitor deployment readiness, issue resolution, and post-implementation stabilization activities across supported systems. Partner with business stakeholders, shipboard finance teams, and technology teams to support testing efforts and ensure successful implementation of system enhancements and operational changes.
Policies, Procedures, Training & Continuous Improvement:
Maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures, training materials, and process documentation. Support policy updates, benchmarking activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and control effectiveness.
Controls, Compliance & Audit Support:
Monitor execution of controls related to revenue systems and escalate identified deficiencies or inconsistencies. Partner with audit, compliance, and finance stakeholders to support audit readiness, remediation activities, and ongoing compliance requirements.
Knowledge & Skills:
Scope:
Responsible for the operational execution, support, and continuous improvement of revenue systems and controls supporting Princess Cruises shipboard and shoreside operations. Oversees team members responsible for revenue systems support, testing activities, production support, controls execution, policy administration, and operational process improvement. Provides leadership across revenue system configuration, voucher and type code governance, issue resolution, deployments, training, documentation, and day-to-day operational support activities. Partners with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Shipboard Finance, Audit, Compliance, and Information Technology teams to support system enhancements, operational initiatives, and ongoing business support. Supports systems and processes that impact onboard revenue, guest folios, payment processing, bundles, revenue recognition, and related financial reporting activities. Responsible for ensuring operational stability, consistent execution of established controls, and adherence to departmental standards and procedures across the fleet in support of departmental objectives established by the Senior Manager, Revenue Systems & Controls.
Problem Solving:
Exercises independent judgment in evaluating system issues, operational risks, testing results, deployment readiness, and control exceptions. Responsible for identifying root causes, coordinating corrective actions, and balancing operational requirements with financial control objectives.
Impact:
Decisions made by this role directly impact the operational effectiveness, stability, supportability, and compliance of revenue systems and related business processes. Responsible for ensuring accurate execution of established procedures, timely issue resolution, successful deployment support, and adherence to internal controls. Errors in judgment may impact operational processes, financial reporting accuracy, user adoption, revenue system functionality, guest experience, or compliance requirements. Escalates significant operational risks, control deficiencies, resource constraints, and strategic considerations to the Senior Manager, Revenue Systems & Controls.
Leadership:
Directly supervises assigned Revenue Systems & Controls team members. Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, workload management, and performance oversight. Coordinates activities across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Shipboard Finance, Audit, Compliance, and Information Technology teams. Supports departmental objectives and priorities established by the Senior Manager, Revenue Systems & Controls. Responsible for operational execution, team development, and continuous improvement within assigned areas of responsibility. Provides leadership and oversight for operational initiatives, system support activities, testing efforts, and deployment readiness activities across the fleet.
Requirements:
Minimum Experience (if preferred but not required, list as such): Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field 7+ years of experience in finance systems, accounting operations, revenue systems, project delivery, or related field 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience Experience supporting financial systems, operational processes, or system implementations Experience working with cross-functional teams and technology organizations Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting processes Working knowledge of internal controls and audit requirements Experience supporting system testing, deployments, and production support activities Experience with issue management, root cause analysis, and operational process improvement Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience developing operational procedures, training materials, and documentation Experience working with revenue-related systems and business processes
Travel:
Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions:
Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Princess office Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.
