Job Description
Implements and adheres to policies and procedures for the Financial Management function, including compliance with all company accounting standards. Assist with policy and procedures updates and compliance with all statute 720 HOA requirements. Provides oversight and recommendations to the Clubs overall investment strategy and long-term goals based on the Clubs mission and vision. Reconciles and audits multiple bank and investment accounts. Partner with the Property Controller to ensure financial information used in reporting and analysis is accurate and timely. With the Property Controller, General Manager and Management Team is responsible for preparing and monitoring annual budgets, reserve allocations, monitoring revenue and expense goals as well as business volume forecasts and financial strategic planning. Lead multi‑year financial planning, including capital and reserve projections for a multi‑amenity Club environment. Participate in the Long-term Strategic Planning of the property and monitor and coordinate property plans of overall future strategic objectives, including analysis of projected revenue, costs, net income, cash position, cash management, and capital requirement updates, assessments, capital projects, and reserve planning. Updating of Reserve Study/Capital Asset Planning. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as required. Conduct specialized financial analyses related to operating budgets, departmental performance, reserve studies, dues and assessment modeling, and cost‑benefit evaluations. Maintain organized financial records, committee archives, and project documentation. Prepare dashboards, charts, and presentations that translate complex financial data into clear, member‑friendly insights. Work closely with the Property Controller, who prepares the monthly financial statements, and interpret results, validate data, and develop additional analysis as needed. Analyze departmental profitability and member utilization trends to support operational and strategic decision‑making. Present with the Property Controller financial statements and supporting schedules that identify actual to budget, variance and over/under based on the plan to the General Manager, Treasurer, Finance Committee and Board of Directors. Produce communications to members regarding financial analysis and outcomes. Lead and support major initiatives such as: Capital Asset Management and Capital Asset Requests Processes and Procedures (Capital asset replacement, additions and disposal, and Reserve Study management) Capital improvement planning (clubhouse renovations, golf course upgrades, amenity expansions). Vendor contract evaluations , cost‑savings initiatives, and operational efficiency projects. Member experience enhancements with financial or operational implications. Technology and process improvements within finance and operations. Conduct research on HOA best practices, private club financial trends, and industry benchmarks. Manage project timelines, stakeholder communication, and deliverables from concept through completion. Conduct due diligence for large‑scale initiatives, including contractor comparisons, feasibility studies, and financial impact modeling. Technology and process improvements within finance and operations. Bachelor's degree in accounting and six to ten years related experience. Experience in Hospitality Industry, HOA community and/or private clubs Experience in Clubessential-Jonas POS/Accounting software a plus CPA License preferred, not required.
