Job Description

Our dealerships are just too busy! We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic automotive finance manager to present financing options and advice to our guests and effectively support our sales team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-2 years of automotive experience and a stable, proven track record of successful employment. This position supports automotive sales by building relationships, following sales processes, and upholding the highest ethical standards. The Finance Manager also works with different financial lenders to give fair interest rates to our buyers.   • Establish and reach monthly finance and insurance manager goals for automotive sales, service contracts, customer service, and other key benchmarks
  • Assess whether car buyers need financing and payment options before presenting them with appropriate auto finance plans
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards serving as a finance director and/or manager who is committed to a high customer satisfaction index (CSI)
  • Support the auto sales manager during each vehicle purchase and leverage opportunities to offer aftermarket products, service contracts, and insurance programs
  • Abide by federal, state, and local regulations when preparing paperwork, finalizing financial transactions, setting interest rates, and working with lending institutions
  • Manage inventory of finance department supplies, including bank, state, and auto dealership forms.
  • Offer vehicle financing and insurance to customers and provide them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
  • Seek new lending institutions and maintain good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs.
  • Process financing and leasing deals accurately and secure approval through financial sources to secure approval and through the proper federal, state and corporate channels.
  • Understanding and complying with federal, state and local regulations that affect the new and used-vehicle and finance departments. Requirements
  • Knows and implements dealership policies and procedures.
  • Communicates all problem deals to management immediately.
  • Addresses missing stipulations communicated from lender immediately.
  • Adheres to a standard of professional ethics and is respectful to customers.
  • Knowledgeable in state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Interacts with appropriate departments.
  • Structures deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines.
  • Performs credit interview, prepares credit application.
  • Verifies accuracy of all information on the credit application and submits to lender.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information.
  • Discloses financial information to customers.
  • Sells credit insurance and service contracts.
  • Maintains good lender relations.
  • Maintains a lender guide of programs currently used and obtains a working knowledge of them.
  • Evaluates new lender programs.
  • Goes over deals with lenders. Works all deals diligently.
  • Maintains a call-in log and contracts in transit log (funding package).
  • Reviews funding packages prior to mailing.
  • Analyzes credit reports, able to recognize a conventional deal and turns over accordingly.
  • Properly cost special finance deals (prepares profit sheets).
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports as requested by management.
  • Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications
  • Background in finance or related field strongly preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of dealership F&I or sales experience required
  • Basic MS Office knowledge and computer software proficiency required
  • Requires valid state-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Must have strong communication skills, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the innate ability to build rapport with customers.
