31st August, 2026 About the role At RSL Queensland, Finance is more than reporting on what has happened. We partner with our leaders to understand performance, assess opportunities and make informed decisions that support our organisation and the veteran community we serve. As Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll work closely with leaders across a business portfolio, providing financial insight, analysis and advice that helps shape decisions and improve performance. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll partner with senior stakeholders across budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, business cases and strategic initiatives. You'll bring together strong financial expertise with an understanding of the business to identify risks, opportunities and practical solutions. What you'll do Partner with senior leaders and managers to provide financial advice, insight and constructive challenge. Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Provide insightful management reporting and analysis, identifying trends, risks and opportunities. Develop financial models, business cases and scenario analysis to support strategic and investment decisions. Help leaders understand the financial implications of operational and strategic decisions. Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve outcomes. Drive continuous improvement across financial planning, reporting and the use of data and technology. About you You're a qualified finance professional who enjoys understanding the business behind the numbers and using financial insight to influence decisions. You'll bring: CA, CPA or CIMA qualification. Strong experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, management accounting or a related finance environment. Strong budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis capability. Experience developing financial models and/or business cases. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence working with senior leaders. The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical advice. Commercial acumen and the confidence to constructively challenge and influence. Experience in a not-for-profit or purpose-led organisation would be valuable, as would experience with Power BI, working with AI, large ERP environments or strategic projects. Why RSL Queensland?
