Job Description

We are looking for a Finance Manager to support non-profit focused accounting function in Honolulu, Hawaii. This Contract position is ideal for someone in finance who can balance strategic planning with hands-on oversight of daily accounting activities. The role will lead core financial processes, provide accurate reporting, and help guide a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of operating budgets and financial forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Manage monthly and annual closing activities, ensuring financial results are accurate, timely, and well-documented.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and statements that provide insight into organizational performance.
  • Oversee daily accounting functions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and the general ledger.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to address billing matters, payment issues, and account-related questions.
  • Perform and review bank reconciliations to confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Supervise and support accounting staff, setting priorities and promoting accountability within the team.
  • Assist with audit preparation and maintain financial records in compliance with internal standards and reporting requirements.
