Business Manager (Finance & Insurance) RJ Powersports -
Ottumwa, IA Pay:
$100,000 - $250,000+ per year RJ Powersports is one of Iowa's leading powersports dealerships and is seeking an experienced, motivated Business Manager to join our team. This is a high-volume opportunity for a finance professional who excels at building customer relationships, maintaining compliance, maximizing profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Business Manager is responsible for arranging financing, presenting protection products, maintaining lender relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping customers confidently complete their purchase. What You'll Do Finance & Lending Structure and submit deals according to lender and dealership guidelines. Conduct customer credit interviews and complete credit applications. Analyze credit reports and identify financing opportunities. Work closely with lenders to secure approvals and funding. Maintain strong lender relationships and stay current on lender programs. Review and maintain Contracts in Transit (CIT) to ensure timely funding. Product Presentation Present all available finance and protection products to every customer. Explain product benefits clearly and professionally. Obtain signed acceptance or declination for all products presented. Promote extended service contracts, maintenance programs, GAP protection, appearance protection, theft protection, tire and wheel protection, battery programs, and other dealership offerings. Consistently achieve dealership F&I performance objectives. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with all federal, state, lender, and dealership requirements. Maintain knowledge of OFAC, Privacy Notice, Red Flags, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other applicable regulations. Work closely with dealership leadership and compliance personnel to maintain a compliant finance process. Accurately complete title work and funding packages. Maintain complete and organized deal jackets. Customer Experience Deliver a transparent, professional, and customer-focused buying experience. Maintain confidentiality of customer information. Clearly explain financing terms, products, and disclosures. Follow up with customers who have not yet purchased and maintain accurate CRM records. Teamwork & Leadership Work closely with Sales, Parts, Service, and Accounting departments. Assist in training sales staff on finance processes and compliance requirements. Help improve dealership profitability while maintaining a positive customer experience. Support dealership initiatives and process improvements. Qualifications Previous F&I, automotive, powersports, RV, marine, or dealership finance experience preferred. Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to build trust with customers and lender partners. Self-motivated with a desire to succeed.
