Greater Chicago Area (On-site) Organization Overview A growing, multi-location healthcare services organization is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Management. The organization emphasizes operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient-centered care. Position Overview The Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) will lead day-to-day revenue cycle operations across a multi-site, for‑profit home care platform. This role is accountable for operational execution, performance optimization, and compliance across the full revenue cycle, including intake, billing, coding, collections, and payer reimbursement processes. The position partners closely with Finance, Operations, and Clinical leadership to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including intake, eligibility verification, coding, billing, collections, and denial management. Manage Medicaid and commercial payer reimbursement processes for home care services. Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as days in accounts receivable, denial rates, cash collections, and net revenue yield. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and payer requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop revenue cycle leadership and frontline teams across multiple locations. Collaborate with Operations and Clinical teams to resolve documentation, charge capture, and workflow issues. Optimize revenue cycle and EMR systems while managing third-party billing vendors as applicable. Support audits, payer reviews, and internal compliance initiatives. Drive process improvements to scale revenue cycle operations effectively in support of organizational growth. Maintain an understanding of how home care billing processes interface with payroll and operational costs. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related discipline. 5-10 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, preferably within home care or similar service-based healthcare environments. Strong working knowledge of Medicaid and managed care home care billing and payer rules. Proven experience managing multi-site teams and operational KPIs. Demonstrated hands-on leadership style with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Experience working with EMR and revenue cycle management systems; familiarity with industry-standard platforms preferred.
