This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a compassionate organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. The successful candidate will bring strong financial expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance. This position is full time and the starting salary is $80,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare, analyze and review financial statements Oversee daily operations, workflows and staff to ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met Prepare, review, and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries to the general ledger Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate completion Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including salary calculations and deductions Manage all financial reporting and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred; Associate's degree in accounting with equivalent professional experience will also be considered 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with increasing levels of responsibility Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards Proficiency in accounting and payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Effective leadership and communication abilities Demonstrated ability to patiently serve others with kindness and compassion We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance.
