Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Manager, Accounting is responsible for overseeing the accounting function for OrthoIllinois and its affiliates. This position manages and coaches the staff, and otherwise coordinates efforts to ensure the team consistently meets accuracy and timeliness expectations, as well as strives for efficiencies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages/coordinates the monthly financial close process to meet deadlines in an organized manner Reviews monthly journal entries, reports, and account balance reconciliations to help ensure accurate financial statements Calls out actionable items and/or makes recommendations as it relates to our financial performance, based on analysis of trends and variances Owner of the Month-End Accounting checklist, including the tracking of changes that need special attention in the monthly accounting Manages the team's efforts to reconcile daily deposits Oversee the preparation of quarterly reporting packages Monitors Fixed Asset reporting and the Annual CAM reconciliation process Assists with the coordination of year-end audits, compilations, and tax return preparation Assists in the preparation and review of the annual budget Will assume a shared administrator role within the financial reporting system, Prophix, which will require gaining a high level of knowledge and proficiency Within Prophix, administers inputs and updates on a monthly basis and validates that financial results tie out to the general ledger Assists the Director of Finance in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers, executives, and stakeholders Leads the team's efforts to maintain and update our accounting policies, procedures and controls Continuously evaluating our processes and/or evolving business model to look for opportunities to drive efficiencies or protect assets, recommending changes, and then leading the effort to carry out the changes Overseeing the department's efforts to maintain positive working relationships with business partners, including involvement in quarterly budget variance reviews as well as annual budget discussions Supervision of the team including: providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback, assisting with recruitment and training, and manage scheduling, timecards, and PTO requests

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field from an accredited college or university, required CPA preferred Minimum six years previous Accounting or Finance experience required Two years managing a team preferred Ability to understand and optimize processes Advanced working knowledge of
Microsoft and Google Suites Environmental/Working Conditions:
Working environment is in an office/clinic setting.

Stand and sit for extended periods of time Requires lifting, carrying and/or moving objects in a manner consistent with most office environments (generally, no more than 10 pounds on a frequent basis and 20 pounds on an occasional basis) Possess full range of motion in shoulders and arms, including reaching above or below the shoulder.
