The Financial Generalist plays a key supporting role within the finance team by ensuring financial data is accurate, organized, and flowing properly between departments. This position focuses on transactional processes, reconciliations, and issue resolution, while providing support to the Controller and broader finance function.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Transaction Processing & Account Support Assist with accounts payable functions, including invoice entry, processing, and account monitoring Ensure timely and accurate payment processing and proper documentation Support account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as they arise Reconciliation & Issue Resolution Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Process account adjustments (credits/debits) with proper approvals Customer Account Maintenance Review customer accounts to identify outstanding balances or inconsistencies Assist in resolving billing issues, including invoice corrections and returns Communicate with internal teams to ensure accurate account information Cash Flow & Reporting Support Assist in monitoring cash flow and identifying basic trends or irregularities Support preparation of routine financial reports and reconciliations Help maintain internal dashboards and ensure data accuracy Compliance & Process Support Assist with sales tax reporting, 1099 preparation, and other compliance tasks Follow established procedures to ensure regulatory deadlines are met Provide input on process improvements to enhance efficiencyQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred 2-5 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, or similar role Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with accounting/ERP systems preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyPreferred Skills:
Experience with reconciliations and financial reporting support Familiarity with accounts receivable or collections processes Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently Comfortable working with large data sets Ability to balance independent work with team collaboration Benefits Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Accident, and Life Insurance options. 401(k) with company match.
