The Opportunity:
Our FSO Financial Accounting Advisory team is growing exponentially, and as a Controller you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of Integrated Finance Managed Services ( IFMS ) engagements, with a focus on start-up reinsurance entities in the life and annuity space. This position collaborates closely with Central and Regional IFMS Delivery Executives and the global delivery service team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellence in all financial activities. The IFMS Controller will assist in various finance-related functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with Central and Regional IFMS Delivery Executives and the EY's offshore service delivery team to address operational challenges and communicate delivery performance and risks effectively. + Work alongside the Service Delivery Executive to monitor service delivery health, identify potential issues early, and drive resolutions for performance deviations or client-impacting concerns. + Provide support for accurate and timely financial reporting for offshore reinsurance entities in accordance with applicable accounting standards including
IFRS , US GAAP
, and offshore regulatory requirements (e.g., Bermuda, Cayman, or other relevant jurisdictions). + Assist with the preparation of regulatory filings and statutory financial statements for offshore domiciles, including submissions required by local insurance authorities. + Collaborate with actuarial, capital reserving, and reinsurance teams to support technical accounting for complex insurance transactions, including treaty evaluation (insurance risk vs. investment risk). + Assist with maintaining internal controls, documentation, and processes to ensure compliance and operational efficiency across offshore entities. + Lead the general accounting function, including monthly and quarterly close activities, reconciliations, and variance analysis for reinsurance portfolios. + Oversee audit schedules and liaise with clients and external auditors during annual and interim audit processes. + Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives in financial reporting, systems, and proce To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
