Job Description

A pharmaceutical company is seeking a Revenue Manager in California to oversee revenue accounting activities, support the close process, and help ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cross-functional initiatives spanning revenue recognition, reporting, and order-to-cash operations.  About the

Remote Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly revenue workpapers, including reserves, journal entries, and revenue workbooks. Support the monthly and quarterly revenue close process to help ensure accuracy and efficiency. Maintain and update internal control documentation, including process narratives and control matrices, and support control testing. Research and document accounting treatment for revenue matters in accordance with ASC 606. Partner with finance, commercial, and other business teams on revenue-related projects, launches, and order-to-cash activities.
Qualifications:
6+ years of progressive accounting experience with a significant focus on revenue recognition. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements related to revenue and receivables. Proven ability to manage and execute a complex monthly and quarterly close process. Advanced computer system skills, including Microsoft Office, Oracle, and Power BI. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and work accurately under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience in a technical accounting role within the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry. Big 4 accounting firm experience. CPA certification. Spanish language proficiency.
