A Financial Manager directs and plans the financial activities of a company or organization. Prepares financial statements and business activity and forecasting reports; supervises accounting and preparation of financial reports; advises management with regard to finance decisions.
Position Summary This position will work as part of the fast-paced accounting team and be responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities. Assists the CFO in directing the organization's accounting functions including cost, payables, and financial reporting. Contributes to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, planning, and budgeting systems. Oversees the preparation of periodic reporting and required legal filings. Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization. Will be key in the budgeting and auditing process. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Independently perform monthly close process to ensure timely reporting, including preparation of journal entries and analysis Must possess advance Excel skill to extract and manipulate data. Support US salary operations and reporting including preparations of journal entries. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings including sales tax in multiple states, corporate tax returns and informative filings. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Participate in the preparation of accounting manuals, internal controls for accounting systems, financial procedures, and instructions. Support the preparation of the consolidated and annual financial report, quarterly financial report, and other related complex accounting reports for the company. In charge of proper implementation of company's processes and policies in the company's offices across the country (expenses, travel, etc.) In charge of AR/AP operations; including vendors, customers, credit cards and payments, including support of the relevant AP/AR team's work. May assist in payroll. Assist with special projects in accounting or other areas. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. At least 5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including supervisory or management experience. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or accounting systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications CPA, CMA, CFA, MBA, or another relevant professional qualification. Experience in the organization's industry. Knowledge of financial planning, business intelligence, and data-visualization tools. Experience leading finance-process or systems-improvement initiatives.

Reporting Relationship Reports to the Chief Financial Officer, and supervises members of the finance and accounting team.
