Job Description
Business Manager Venerini Academy - Worcester, Massachusetts 01605 Position Summary The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial and business operations of Venerini Academy. Working closely with the Principal and in collaboration with the Board of Trustees, the Business Manager ensures sound fiscal management, efficient school operations, and compliance with diocesan, state, and federal requirements while supporting the mission of Catholic education. Key Responsibilities Manage the school's annual budget, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting functions. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and tuition collection. Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate financial records to the leadership team and the Board of Trustees. Assist with annual audits and preparation of financial reports for the Principal, School Board, and Diocese. Coordinate purchasing, vendor contracts, and facility-related business services. Administer employee benefits, personnel records, and human resource documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable financial, employment, and regulatory requirements. Support enrollment, fundraising, and advancement initiatives through financial planning and reporting. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Venerini Academy and Catholic education. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience in financial management, accounting, or school business administration. Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. Knowledge of nonprofit or school finance and/or 2-3 experience is preferred. Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic educational community. This position reports directly to the Principal and serves as a key member of the school's leadership team, helping to ensure the financial stability and operational excellence of Venerini Academy.
