Financial Services Associate Morgan State University - 4.0 Baltimore, MD Job Details Full-time $41,005 - $55,918 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Research High school diploma or GED Office experience Full Job Description Posting Summary Job Title Financial Services Associate Division Division of Finance & Administration Department Comptroller's Office Work Status Full Time Position Category Staff FLSA Non-Exempt Pay Range 09 Salary Range $41,005 - $55,918 / year Fund Source State Support Job Summary Under the direction of the Financial Services/ Payroll Supervisor, the Financial Services Associate is to provide a high level of customer service to the Morgan campus, the Central Payroll Bureau and all individuals who contact the Financial Services Unit. 2. As part of the staff, the Financial Services Associate is expected to generate, analyze, and evaluate diagnostic reports summarizing payroll problems and their solutions. Be able to problem solve on issues concerning payroll and the interfaces between Morgan, IT and CPB.
Job Duties Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide all aspects of high-level customer service, including answering phones/checking voicemails/monitoring emails/ assisting walk ins/scanning documents. Reviewing, processing, and distributing incoming mail/emails. Make corrections and help resolve issues pertaining to the gross pay file before submission to IT in a timely manner. Make sure that all necessary documents are processed in a timely manner. Research, analyze, and process all payroll-related matters and resolve them, including missed paychecks, retroactive calculations, tax errors, and other issues that are forwarded to the Financial Services Unit. Must independently organize and execute various assignments by the deadline while paying close attention to detail. Provide excellent customer service to the Morgan campus, the Central Payroll Bureau, the Comptroller of the MD office and to all others outside of the campus. All other duties as assigned.
Requested Minimum Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
least (3) years of customer service experience. Experience working in an office environment. Other Preferences for Consideration Preferences will be given to candidates with a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting , Business or related field.
