Accounting Manager - Oracle Fusion Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with strong Oracle Fusion (Oracle Cloud ERP) experience to oversee core accounting operations and support accurate, timely financial reporting. This role will own the month-end close process and general ledger function , while leveraging Oracle Fusion to drive efficiency, consistency, and data integrity across the accounting team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands how to optimize accounting workflows within an ERP system and can support ongoing system enhancements and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes , ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Manage general ledger activities , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Utilize Oracle Fusion to streamline accounting workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance and audit readiness Partner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, AP, Payroll) to ensure proper accounting treatment and resolve discrepancies Review and analyze financial results, providing insights to support business decisions Support continuous improvement initiatives within Oracle Fusion, including process optimization and system enhancements Ensure accuracy and integrity of Chart of Accounts and financial data within the ERP system Assist in audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience , including ownership of month-end close and general ledger processes Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion / Oracle Cloud ERP Strong understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail Ability to leverage ERP systems to improve efficiency and reporting Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications CPA or pursuing CPA Experience in a multi-entity or complex accounting environment Exposure to process improvement or system enhancements within ERP platforms Environment Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Opportunity to play a key role in driving accounting excellence and system optimization Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
