Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office/Accounting Manager to oversee daily administrative operations and financial processes within our organization. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of office activities, managing accounting functions, and supporting team efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining accurate financial records while fostering a positive work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead office management initiatives, coordinate vendor relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our team. Responsibilities Manage daily office operations, including front desk duties, multi-line phone systems, calendar management, and filing systems to ensure seamless workflow. Oversee bookkeeping and accounting functions using accounting software such as Xero/Sage or similar financial software, ensuring accuracy in financial records. Supervise and train administrative staff on clerical procedures, customer service standards, and technical proficiency with office tools like Microsoft Office and spreadsheets. Handle human resources tasks including payroll processing, employee onboarding, training & development, and maintaining confidential personnel information. Coordinate vendor management activities—negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and overseeing procurement processes to optimize costs. Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and perform financial analysis to support strategic planning and operational efficiency. Organize company events and meetings, manage schedules for executives and staff, and ensure effective communication across departments. Qualifications Proven experience in office management or administrative roles with a strong background in accounting or finance. Supervising experience with a demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively. Proficiency in Xero/Sage or other accounting software; strong skills in bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience with vendor management, budgeting, payroll processing, and human resources functions. Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—and exceptional customer service abilities. Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with spreadsheets for data analysis. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times. Prior experience in event planning or coordinating organizational activities is a plus.
