Type:

full-time Our client is a growing small to mid size manufacturing company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the company's day to day accounting operations. This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys being close to the business and taking ownership of the accounting function. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing the month end close process, preparing financial reporting, and supporting various operational functions including purchasing. This individual will work closely with the President and play an important role in providing accurate financial information to support business decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's day to day accounting operations
  • Oversee the month end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other general ledger accounts
  • Support payroll processing and other administrative accounting functions as needed
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
  • Support purchasing activities, including purchase orders, vendor coordination, and related accounting processes
  • Monitor expenses and assist with cost tracking and analysis
  • Maintain appropriate accounting controls and processes
  • Work closely with the President and other members of the leadership team on financial and operational matters
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and overall efficiency
  • Support other financial and administrative needs of the business as needed Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month end close processes
  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Comfortable working in a hands on environment where priorities can change quickly
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Plex ERP is a plus What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and wants to be an integral part of a smaller manufacturing organization.

You should be equally comfortable working through the details of a month end close, reviewing financials with the President, and jumping in to help with purchasing or other operational needs.
