Job Description

DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Controller - Operations Finance Manager to join our Finance team of Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems (CDBS) in Troy, MI. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Strategic Business Partnership:
The ability to operate as a core member of the leadership team—shaping business strategies, influencing decisions with financial insight, and supporting new business development to drive key performance metrics.
Expert Financial Stewardship:
Deep capability in accounting practices, financial reporting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance to ensure data integrity, strong controls, and accurate, timely financial communication across the entity.
Operational and Performance Leadership:
Skill in optimizing processes, improving cost efficiency, managing capital and working capital, and partnering with business leaders to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and profitable growth.
People Leadership and Talent Development:
The capacity to coach, mentor, and develop finance staff; assign work effectively; provide meaningful feedback; and build a high performing team aligned to organizational goals
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.
Experience:
Significant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience in a small operations manufacturing or distribution center environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Partner with CDBS Purchasing team to achieve annual material performance targets with robust analysis and reporting, and supporting all purchasing Appropriation Requests Create material forecast for all North America plants and communicate monthly financial results for material to finance and purchasing leadership Track pass-through tariffs and support tariff mitigation strategies and tracking Job Finance Organization Cummins Inc.
