Not Available We are seeking an experienced Director, Finance Business Partner to serve as a strategic finance advisor to technology leadership within a complex, global organization. This role combines technology finance, FP&A, strategic planning, financial performance management, investment analysis, and executive partnership . The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader who can move seamlessly between high-level strategy and detailed financial analysis, translate complex data into actionable insights, and help business leaders make informed decisions about investments, opportunities, risks, and operational performance. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a large financial portfolio , influence technology investment decisions, lead process improvements, and develop high-performing finance professionals. What You'll Do Lead financial planning and reporting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, strategic planning, and target setting for a designated technology business area. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to technology and cross-functional business leaders, aligning financial strategies with organizational goals. Partner with business units, regional teams, corporate functions, and other stakeholders to evaluate and validate new business opportunities. Lead financial analysis and variance analysis , clearly communicating key drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. Support complex agreements, contracts, pricing decisions, product management, and customer business opportunities through financial expertise. Evaluate ongoing deals and business opportunities and provide financial counsel to stakeholders. Apply Technology Business Management (TBM) principles to allocate technology costs and support product-level P&L management. Partner with sourcing and other functions to identify efficiencies and ensure financial targets are achieved. Ensure adherence to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) policies and support control testing as needed. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve financial operations, and implement sustainable improvements. Lead ad hoc financial analyses, business cases, and strategic projects supporting evolving business needs. Lead, coach, and develop a diverse finance team, including goal setting, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Required:
Strong experience in technology finance within a complex organization. Hands-on FP&A experience with significant ownership of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management. Experience managing a large financial portfolio . Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting principles, and internal controls. Advanced Excel experience and proficiency with Oracle and Hyperion . Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships across functions and within a matrixed organization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to present to executive-level audiences. Experience overseeing global management reporting, including monthly financial results, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets. Demonstrated experience advising business leaders on financial risks, opportunities, and strategic decisions. Experience leading process improvement initiatives from strategy through implementation. Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex or high-risk financial issues. Experience leading and developing finance professionals in a global or multifunctional environment.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field. Experience with Apptio and/or Agile IT methodologies. Experience supporting technology business management and product P&L. Experience working within a highly matrixed, global organization. Strong executive presence and communication skills. Experience with change management and organizational transformation initiatives. Leadership & Collaboration The successful candidate will be an energetic, collaborative finance leader who can influence across organizational boundaries and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. You will be expected to understand business needs, challenge assumptions when appropriate, identify opportunities, and translate financial analysis into clear business recommendations.
