Summary:
The Assistant Manager of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) provides direct supervision of the staff working with Anywhere Care and Third-Party billing; Supports the Manager of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) in developing and maintaining documentation for related training/job aids/procedures and analyzing data and processes for RCM strategies; Designs and delivers training programs to enhance staff competencies; Monitors and reports performance metrics; Enhances and standardizes workflow processes throughout revenue cycle to improve consistency and efficiency, regularly communicating with Manager of RCM to ensure smooth operations and resolve billing-related issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Directly supervises and supports department staff, including but not limited to hiring staff and managing their performance and professional development 2. Performs and completes (as well as managing others performing these same tasks) the month-end closing process for RCM which includes posting all charges and cash receipts and conducting an analysis of revenue prior to submitting to Manager of RCM for the final close 3. Provides oversight and reporting for the following Accounts Receivable functions: Charge posting Billing/Cash receipts posting Completion of monthly AR Allowance Coordinates final month-end AR Allowance reporting in collaboration with the Manager of RCM Manages Life Plan Community Nursing Facility Vendor Medicaid Billing, including Medicaid Pending AR Allowance 4. Provides support for the RCM staff, which includes providing back-up coverage during extended staff absences, and providing special analysis/projects as approved by Manager of RCM 5. Ensures accurate revenue recognition, accounts receivable, compliant claim generation, to maximize the timeliness of payments for services billed 6. Responds timely to information requests related to revenue/claims/AR questions 7. Responds Maintains up-to date technical knowledge of payer billing rules and regulations via CMS website, MAC website, payer listserv, newsletters, etc.; Keeps Manager of RCM apprised of any areas impacting
RCM Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
3 years of business office experience Prior billing experience in either the Senior Living industry or Hospital industry Associates degree in a business-related field preferred Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word Must demonstrate a positive attitude and strong commitment to teamwork Must possess effective communication skills (verbal and written) Strong analytic and process development skills
