Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper & Finance Administrator to join our team. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial records, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and support the organization's financial health. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with various accounting software, and a passion for maintaining precise financial data. Your expertise will help streamline our financial processes and support our mission of operational excellence. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Perform bank and account reconciliations, including balance sheet and general ledger reconciliation, ensuring all debits and credits are correctly posted. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently while verifying invoice accuracy and managing payment schedules. Prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis, and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and related governmental reporting requirements. Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and providing financial report writing to aid decision-making. Conduct month-end closing procedures, including general ledger accounting and double-entry bookkeeping tasks. Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain the integrity of financial data and support audits or external reviews as needed. Run bi monthly payroll Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus. Strong understanding of corporate accounting practices, non-profit accounting (if applicable), and governmental accounting standards. Knowledge of GAAP principles, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Ability to perform detailed account analysis, prepare journal entries, and manage accounts payable/receivable processes efficiently. Familiarity with payroll systems, tax experience, and financial report writing is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy. Strong grasp of financial concepts including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and budget management. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and support internal financial processes.
