Job Description

A growing, employee-owned organization supporting the construction and AEC industry is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its Finance team in Granite City, IL. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within construction, engineering, EPC, infrastructure, industrial, or another project-based environment. This role will combine financial reporting and analysis with a strong understanding of construction operations, project accounting, job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and project risk. Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reporting.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Analyze financial performance and variances.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with project managers and operations teams.
  • Review job cost reports and project financial performance.
  • Analyze WIP schedules, earned revenue, change orders, and forecasts.
  • Support billing and collections risk management.
  • Monitor project and division financial performance.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to business leadership. Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Construction, engineering, EPC, industrial, or project-based industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting and job costing.
  • Experience with revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience working with project managers and operations teams.
  • Knowledge of WIP schedules and project controls.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • ERP/accounting system experience required.
  • Vista Viewpoint experience preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Experience managing subsidiary/division financial operations is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
  • $105,000-$130,000 Base Salary
