Key Responsibilities Accounting, Reporting, and Controls Lead accounting activities for the Iuka operation, including month-end and year-end close. Prepare financial statements, reporting packages, journal entries, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are complete, accurate, properly classified, and supported. Monitor cash flow, working capital, expenses, margins, and overall financial performance. Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax requirements, quarter-end, year-end, and corporate reporting. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and corporate reporting expectations. Cost Accounting and Inventory Finance Develop, maintain, and improve standard cost systems, product costs, bills of material, routings, labour assumptions, overhead rates, and related cost inputs. Analyze manufacturing variances, including material usage, purchase price, labour, overhead, scrap, production efficiency, yield, and capacity utilization. Perform inventory costing, inventory valuation, inventory adjustment review, slow-moving and obsolete inventory analysis, and margin analysis. Coordinate and support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives. Partner with production, purchasing, engineering, and corporate finance to improve costing accuracy and support quoting, pricing, and margin review. Plant Partnership and Systems Serve as the primary finance partner to the Iuka Plant Manager and local leadership team. Explain financial results in practical language and provide insight into cost, margin, inventory, labour, overhead, scrap, rework, and operating expense trends. Develop manufacturing KPIs, dashboards, reporting tools, close processes, reconciliations, and local finance procedures. Support capital expenditure analysis, fixed asset reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, and business case development. Assist in implementing, stabilizing, and optimizing ERP and accounting systems for the Iuka operation. Team Leadership and AP/AR Support Supervise, coach, and review the work of one Accounting Coordinator responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit support, cash receipts, daily transactions, and general accounting support. Help resolve invoice discrepancies, receiving mismatches, approval issues, vendor credits, customer account questions, credit holds, short payments, unapplied cash, and billing disputes. Provide backup support during absences, workload peaks, or escalations while building an accurate, efficient, customer-focused local accounting function. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA designation preferred; CPA, CMA, or equivalent experience will be considered. 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience. Strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including standard costing, product costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing variances, BOMs, routings, labour and overhead rates, and cost allocation. Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, journal entries, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, AP, AR, credit support, inventory, and costing. Experience supervising accounting staff and setting clear priorities, expectations, and review standards. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, manufacturing finance processes, fixed assets, and audit support. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and operations teams.

$115,000.00 - $142,000.00 per year
