Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to support a civil development business in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This Long-term Contract position will lead core accounting activities, deliver reliable financial reporting, and provide meaningful analysis to guide operational and executive decisions. The role is well suited for a hands-on accounting leader who can strengthen processes, oversee cost-focused reporting, and collaborate closely with business partners in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct day-to-day accounting operations across the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and intercompany activity.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and review of financial results.
  • Oversee job cost and cost accounting practices to support project performance tracking and improve visibility into profitability.
  • Develop annual budgets and longer-range forecasts, then evaluate actual performance against plan and explain key variances.
  • Prepare cash flow projections and financial models that support planning, resource allocation, and business scenario evaluation.
  • Establish and refine accounting policies, strengthen internal controls, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process enhancements.
  • Lead, coach, and support accounting team members while fostering strong coordination with operations and leadership stakeholders.
  • Deliver financial insights and executive-level reporting that help drive informed decisions across the business.
