Job Description

313 Space + Collected by Schwung || High Point, NC We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Office Controller to support two sister companies operating in the antiques and commercial showroom rental industries. One business 313 Space, is a commercial showroom and leasing operation that hosts furniture and design companies during High Point Furniture Market twice annually. The other company, Collected by Schwung , specializes in curated antiques and vintage pieces. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing financial management, operations, reporting, and day-to-day administrative oversight within a fast-paced and creative environment. As an Office Controller, you will lead financial reporting, maintain robust internal controls, and support strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis. Responsibilities Generate daily and weekly financial reports using QuickBooks Enter and track expenses, invoices, and vendor payments Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. Manage cash flow and cash management activities to optimize liquidity and support organizational financial health. Process payroll and employee payments Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments Manage and track inventory/orders using inFlow Assist with budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial organization Maintain accurate records across both companies Coordinate operational and administrative tasks leading up to Furniture Market Support ownership with reporting, organization, and business operations Strong understanding of technical accounting principles including general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and balance sheet management. Demonstrated ability in financial report writing, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Qualifications Accounting Degree and 5 years of accounting experience Experience with QuickBooks and Excel required Experience with inFlow or similar inventory/order management software preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Prior bookkeeping, office management, or controller experience preferred References Required About the Role This is a dynamic position supporting two interconnected businesses in the design and furnishings industry. The right candidate will be proactive, dependable, financially minded, and comfortable in both structured administrative work and the fast-moving environment surrounding market events.
