Job Description

Hamilton Telecommunications is seeking a full-time Assistant Accounting Manager for the corporate office in Aurora, NE. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who wants to expand technical skills, gain broad hands-on experience, and grow into greater responsibility. This position will support billing, reconciliations, compliance, and month-end processes while working closely with leadership in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Support monthly billing processes across multiple service lines and ensure accuracy. Reconcile billing systems, bank activity, and general ledger accounts; investigate discrepancies. Review revenue, taxes, and related transactions for compliance and accuracy. Assist with accounts payable, cash application, and vendor/customer inquiry resolution. Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities and related reporting. Prepare and support compliance filings, including tax and 1099 reporting. Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and process efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred; equivalent experience considered. Strong Excel, analytical, reconciliation, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
