The Judge Group is currently seeking a
Division Accounting Manager Location:
Central Nebraska Relocation Assistance Available On-Site Position (5 Days per Week) Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment Strong expertise in: Cost accounting Inventory accounting Manufacturing finance Financial reporting and analysis Experience working within an ERP environment Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills Preferred Prior supervisory or people management experience (5+ years preferred) Experience supporting plant operations in a manufacturing setting Knowledge of business intelligence and financial reporting tools such as Power BI, Hyperion, or similar platforms Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Lead and participate in monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for divisional leadership and corporate stakeholders. Support internal and external audit requirements. Maintain strong internal controls and compliance practices, including SOX-related processes and segregation of duties. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance Manage product costing activities, including: Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity Routing accuracy Overhead rate development Cost allocation methodologies Annual standard cost roll processes Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, purchasing, and overhead performance. Partner with operations teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Oversee inventory accounting, including: Work-in-process (WIP) Cycle counts Physical inventories Obsolescence and reserve analysis Inventory turnover metrics Support make-versus-buy decisions, cost modeling, and continuous improvement initiatives. Planning, Forecasting & Business Support Support annual budgeting and operating planning processes. Assist with monthly forecasting and scenario modeling. Provide financial analysis related to margins, profitability, operational performance, and business risks. Evaluate capital investment opportunities through ROI and NPV analysis and perform post-implementation reviews. Systems & Process Improvement Serve as a key finance user for ERP, reporting, and business intelligence tools. Drive process automation, reporting enhancements, and data integrity initiatives. Lead system improvements, process standardization efforts, and user training activities. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members. Establish performance expectations and support professional growth initiatives. Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams. Present financial results and performance drivers to management.
