Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join a construction-focused organization in Roebuck, South Carolina in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role will oversee core accounting operations, support accurate financial reporting, and help maintain strong controls across the general ledger and project-related financial activity. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, sound technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monthly close process, ensuring financial results are completed accurately and delivered on schedule.
  • Oversee general ledger activity and review journal entries to maintain complete and reliable accounting records.
  • Direct account reconciliation efforts and resolve discrepancies to support accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial data and supporting schedules for audits and other compliance-related requests.
  • Monitor construction and project costing activity to help track expenses, allocations, and financial performance.
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and provide guidance to team members on best practices and deadlines.
  • Analyze financial information and identify issues, trends, or variances that require management attention.
  • Maintain accounting procedures and internal controls that support consistency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
