Full-time Corbett Exterminating is looking to hire a dedicated Accounting Manager to supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities in the organization. We require a knowledgeable Accounting Manager who can lead and motivate accounting staff members and increase department accuracy and efficiency. In addition, you will lead the finance team in establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. To ensure success as an Accounting Manager, you should be analytical, detail-oriented, and honest. The ideal Accounting Manager should possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as a strong understanding of accounting and management principles and financial legislation. Preferred applicants are deadline-driven team players with outstanding multitasking abilities. The Accounting Manager would be reporting directly to the CEO. Job Purpose To lead the daily activities in the accounting department, analyze, record, track, and audit financial information in addition to managing the accounting team members. Job Responsibilities Create an overall Finance Department Process. Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy. Ensuring that all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial legislation. Record and pay accounts payable. Issue invoices to customers and receive incoming payment. Create financial statements and related financial reports. Remit payroll taxes, sales taxes, use taxes, and income taxes. Account for fixed assets. Reconcile bank accounts and petty cash accounts. Collect information as needed for the annual audit. Maintain a coherent system of accounts, with a supporting filing system. Monitor cash levels. Supervise and conduct day-to-day record keeping and recording of sales, invoicing, accounts receivable, cash collections, vendor payables, cash disbursements and payroll. Recording of month end Journal entries such as depreciation, amortization, and prepaid expenses. Maintain general Ledger including reconciliation of accounts to supporting documentation and schedules. Prepare monthly internal use financial statements within 21 days of month end. Prepare analysis of monthly financial statements and interpret results using, but not limited to, the use of KPI and trend analysis. Experience 15+ years of progressive accounting experience with 10+ years managing accounting employees. Job Skills For this role, the skills listed below are what we are looking for above all else: Excellent computer skills on MS Office Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases such as QuickBooks Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations Thorough knowledge of
U.S. GAAP
