Accounting Manager Location:
Red Bank, NJ Area Employment Type:
Full-Time We are partnering with a growing organization in the Red Bank, NJ area seeking an experienced and driven Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, process improvement initiatives, and team leadership across regional entities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in GAAP, experience leading accounting teams, and a passion for driving operational excellence and transformation. Key Responsibilities Financial Oversight & Reporting Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for regional entities Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP Analyze financial results, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) Partner with Regional Directors of Finance Operations (RDFOs) to provide actionable financial insights and recommendations Accounting Operations Oversee general ledger activities, approve journal entries, and review account reconciliations Ensure proper accrual accounting practices, including labor, maintenance, fuel, and related expenses Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures across multiple locations Drive efficiency and improve accuracy throughout the close process Systems & Process Improvement Lead initiatives to streamline and accelerate month-end close activities Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to improve accounting workflows Drive process improvements and automation efforts Ensure consistency and integrity across financial systems including Oracle ERP, EPBCS, and FCCS Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop regional accounting staff Establish performance objectives and conduct evaluations Foster a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements Support internal and external audit activities Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including industry-specific requirements where applicable Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required CPA strongly preferred 8-12+ years of progressive accounting experience 3-5+ years of accounting leadership experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience leading accounting transformation, process automation, and system improvements Prior experience supporting integrations related to acquisitions or newly acquired businesses Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; Oracle experience strongly preferred Industry experience within transportation, logistics, fleet management, or multi-site environments preferred Why Join?
