POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to general accounting and financial reporting. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, quarterly and year-end audit preparation and supporting budget and forecast activities. Work is achieved individually and through collaborative work groups.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department including accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
  • Assist with monthly financial statement reports and provide analyses and explanations of balance sheet and income statement variances.
  • Support preparation and coordination of bi-annual budgets
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate close of the various modules in the ERP system, i.e., Sales, AP, AR, General Ledger, Inventory, etc.
  • Complete schedules or review and approve calculations used to develop manual journal entries, i.e., prepaid, fixed assets, warranty liability percent and amount, slow move percent and amount, RMA reclass, monthly tax provision, etc.
  • Perform inter-companies' reconciliations.
  • Prepare and approve all balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage the Avalara process to assure sales and use tax compliance in all states
  • Audit expense reporting using company expense software; Concur SAP.
  • Monitor and support AP/AR Specialist with management of Marketing departmental budget funds, including co-op and MDF for all SMA territories.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Complete all JSOX quarterly audit schedules quarterly.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with GAAP and JSOX as well as maintain detailed JSOX documentation.

            QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
            :
            • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Year over year experience can be substituted for formal education requirement.
            • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing an Accounting or Finance team required
            • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in Corporate Finance or Accounting role in required.
            • Moderate J-SOX or Sarbanes Oxley experience a plus.
            TECH STACK
            • Working knowledge of SAP Business One or similar ERP system required.
            • Working knowledge and experience with Avalara Tax Software required.
            • Proficient expert in MS Office, specifically MS Excel required.
            • Familiarity with MS Teams a plus.
            TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

            None to very infrequently.

            PAY RANGE

            88,000-95,000
