full-time Accounting Manager | Hyper-Growth AI | NYC $160,000 - $200,000 + Equity Manhattan, New York | Hybrid Talentedge are partnering with a high-growth, VC-backed AI scale-up on the appointment of a Senior Accountant as they continue to build out their New York finance function. Having recently raised a $100M Series B, the business is entering its next major phase of growth, backed by leading global VC investors with a strong track record of supporting category-defining technology companies. Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll join a lean, high-caliber finance team with significant ownership and exposure across the business. The company is scaling rapidly across the US and internationally, with substantial investment across its technology, product and GTM teams. Responsibilities Take significant ownership of the month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting Own key accounting areas including revenue, expenses, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations Help build and scale the company's accounting processes, controls and financial infrastructure Partner closely with FP&A, Sales, Legal, People and Operations across the business Work directly with senior finance leadership on financial reporting and business-critical projects Support external audits, tax, technical accounting and US GAAP reporting Drive process improvement and automation across Finance, including opportunities to leverage AI within accounting workflows Support the implementation and continued development of NetSuite and the wider finance technology stack Gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting and strategic finance initiatives Support international expansion, new entity launches and increasingly complex global operations Take on broader ownership and responsibility as both the company and finance function continue to scale Profile Big 4 CPA Approximately 5-8 years' accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting with experience in-house Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close and financial reporting Experience within SaaS, AI, technology or another high-growth environment is highly desirable Experience with NetSuite Strong interest in AI, automation and modern finance technology Commercially minded and interested in understanding the wider business rather than operating purely within Accounting Excited by the opportunity to build, automate and improve processes, rather than simply maintain them Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where your responsibilities will grow alongside the company Talentedge are specialist finance recruiters supporting VC-backed startups, scale-ups and technology businesses across New York and London.
