Job Description
SUMMARY The Revenue Manager completes Revenue Management reporting documents to capture pace, market segment performance both past and future, sub-segments analytics, trending analytics, and other ad-hoc analytical reports as needed. Communicates, analyzes, measures and adjusts strategies to achieve top line revenue goals in conjunction with the company's vision and standards. Monitor all distribution channels to ensure effective selling and yielding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage and update current selling strategies and produce information in all available distribution channels/reservation sources.
Attend and provide guidance at weekly sales and revenue strategy meetings.
Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analyses to ensure proper rate positioning and product offering relative to competition.
Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports and present results from all segments including internet channels.
Continually monitor all pertinent travel related websites to ensure competitiveness in both availability and price.
Maintain strong working relationships with distribution partners.
Work with leadership and Meruelo Gaming Revenue Optimization team to conceptualize, conduct and lead analysis and modeling (e.g., price sensitivity, post-mortems on renovation and changes in business strategy, cost vs. benefit models).
Ensure that all room statistics reports, including financial statements, and any other related reports are accurate and consistent.
Regularly check the input and the quality of data (segmentation, following restrictions, etc.).
Troubleshoot all system issue with/between LMS and third-party systems.
Work with Accounting and hotel teams to review, reconcile, and support timely settlement of rebates and commissions.
Oversee Group Sales Coordinators by providing day-to-day direction, prioritizing workflow, and ensuring timely completion of group-related tasks
Review group blocks, pickup, cut-off dates, and related reporting for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with revenue strategy.
Partner with Sales leadership and Group Sales Coordinators to support group pricing, inventory decisions, and communication of revenue strategy.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
K NOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
Must be proficient in
Microsoft Office Products:
Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability of simple writing, math, complex reading, and task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: clerical, compiling, analyzing, supervising, instructing, following instructions, influencing others, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 4 years' Hotel Casino Revenue Management experience is required or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to maintain appropriate Alcohol Awareness card.
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting; occasionally standing and walking during over the duration of their shift.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
