Job Description

Kyle Clarke with Robert Half of Buffalo is working with a client who is looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to support strategic decision-making and strengthen financial performance across the organization in Amherst, New York. This role partners with senior leadership to translate business goals into practical financial plans, forecasts, and performance insights. The ideal candidate brings strong modeling and planning expertise, along with the ability to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
Partner with executive and departmental leaders to develop financial plans that support near-term objectives and long-range business strategy. Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate performance trends, business scenarios, and investment decisions. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to provide accurate and timely guidance for leadership. Deliver meaningful financial insights and recommendations that help improve operational efficiency and overall profitability. Monitor key performance indicators and prepare reports that highlight risks, opportunities, and areas requiring management attention. Support corporate planning activities by aligning financial assumptions with business priorities and market conditions. Use planning tools, including Adaptive Insights, to streamline reporting, enhance forecast accuracy, and improve planning processes. 10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a closely related finance leadership role in a manufacturing environment. Strong background in financial planning, corporate forecasting, and performance analysis. Proven ability to create and interpret complex financial models for strategic decision-making. Experience using Adaptive Insights or similar enterprise planning platforms. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear business recommendations. Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced credentials are a plus.
