This is a unique opportunity for an experienced investment professional to help shape portfolio strategy, drive investment decision making, and contribute fresh ideas that enhance long-term outcomes for high-net-worth clients. The target compensation range is $150,000-$200,000 , with flexibility for an exceptional candidate with a demonstrated investment track record. The Director of Research will serve as a strategic voice within the firm's investment process, conducting in-depth market and security research while influencing portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment committee discussions. This is not a traditional research support role. The ideal candidate will bring an established history of successful investment recommendations, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to present investment perspectives to both internal stakeholders and clients. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced investment team, mentor developing professionals, and help shape the future direction of the firm's investment philosophy while maintaining a disciplined, long-term approach to portfolio management.
Responsibilities:
Lead fundamental equity, fixed income, macroeconomic, and market research to support investment decisions. Develop and present high-conviction investment recommendations supported by rigorous analysis. Partner with leadership on portfolio construction, asset allocation, and overall investment strategy. Participate as a key contributor during investment committee meetings. Monitor portfolio performance and recommend tactical or strategic adjustments when appropriate. Present investment philosophy, market outlook, portfolio positioning, and research findings during select client meetings. Mentor and collaborate with junior investment professionals while helping strengthen the firm's research capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline required; MBA, CFA, or advanced investment credentials strongly preferred. Significant experience in investment research, portfolio management, or institutional investment analysis. Demonstrated history of successful investment recommendations and measurable portfolio performance. Strong understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction, capital markets, and investment theory. Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills. Outstanding communication and presentation abilities with the confidence to discuss investment strategies with clients and leadership. Proven ability to generate original investment ideas while working collaboratively within an experienced investment team.
