Job Functions / Responsibilities Lead the Cost Accounting Team- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth
- Drive talent development through coaching, cross-training, succession planning, and recruitment Drive Financial and Operational Excellence
- Ensure accurate cost standards, cost factors, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability
- Partner with operations teams to support business objectives Manage Reporting and Month-End Close
- Oversee month-end cost accounting activities, including journal entry reviews and account reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Analyze manufacturing results and communicate key insights to leadership Strengthen Controls and Compliance
- Lead largescale physical inventory activities
- Supervise build station audits
- Support SOX compliance and testing requirements Support Strategic Initiatives
- Participate in plant projects, system implementations, facility changes, and operational improvement initiatives
- Collaborate across functions to optimize processes and enhance financial performance
- Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA, CMA, or MBA required
- 5 to 10 years of accounting experience
- Strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting
- Previous leadership or people management experience Preferred Skills
- SAP experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to influence across organizational levels and communicate complex financial information clearly
