As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to lead our revenue cycle operations and help ensure the financial success of our organization. Position Summary The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle, ensuring efficient billing operations, timely reimbursement, and compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. This individual will collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to optimize workflows, resolve billing issues, and improve overall revenue cycle performance. Responsibilities Oversee the full revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, prior authorizations, charge capture, coding accuracy, claim submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, and collections. Ensure accurate and timely claim submission while monitoring billing workflows to maximize reimbursement. Review and resolve claim edits, denials, payment discrepancies, and outstanding accounts. Manage insurance appeals and follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims. Ensure compliance with Medicare, commercial insurance, HIPAA, and all applicable federal and state regulations. Stay current on payer guidelines and reimbursement changes affecting outpatient therapy services. Work closely with therapists and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and charge entry. Analyze revenue cycle trends and identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency. Prepare regular financial and operational reports for leadership. Supervise and support billing, authorization, and front-end revenue cycle team members. Train staff on billing procedures, documentation requirements, and best practices. Foster strong communication and collaboration between clinical and administrative teams. Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a medical billing certification required Minimum of five years of revenue cycle management experience in a healthcare setting. Experience with outpatient rehabilitation or physical therapy billing strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, insurance verification, prior authorizations, claims management, and accounts receivable. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and payer reimbursement guidelines. Experience leading and developing teams. Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), practice management software, and Microsoft Office.
