Type:

full-time We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations for a growing organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on Accounting Manager who can guide multiple transactional teams while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls. The position offers a steady business-hours schedule and an opportunity to lead day-to-day accounting functions that support the organization. This is a direct hire position with standard in office business hours. They are seeking someone with strong management experience!

Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily activities across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions to maintain efficient and accurate processing.
  • Supervise team members, set priorities, and provide coaching to support consistent performance across accounting operations.
  • Oversee bi-monthly payroll administration, helping ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.
  • Review financial transactions and supporting documentation to confirm compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Lead month-end close activities, including reconciliations, reporting preparation, and resolution of outstanding items.
  • Monitor cash flow-related activity by coordinating billing, collections, vendor payments, and payroll timelines.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting workflows and implement practical solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to address accounting questions, resolve discrepancies, and support operational needs.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience managing accounting staff within accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.
  • Working knowledge of month-end close procedures, reconciliations, and general accounting practices.
  • Experience processing or overseeing bi-monthly payroll with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize workloads, delegate responsibilities, and develop team members.
  • Solid attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and standard office software used for reporting and transaction management.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments in a business environment.
