About the Role We're hiring an Accounting Manager to lead key accounting functions supporting multiple divisions within Gerken Paving, Inc. This role provides leadership to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll teams while partnering closely with business unit leadership on financial reporting, controls, and accounting operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented team, influence key business decisions, and make a meaningful impact on the financial success of a growing organization. What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals Provide leadership and oversight for division-wide payroll processing Manage the daily operations of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, and Payroll Review and analyze bank account reconciliations Review and maintain general ledger reconciliations Perform expenditure variance analysis Support monthly and year-end closing activities Collaborate with Business Unit Controllers on financial reporting and accounting matters Partner with operations and internal departments to support business objectives Ensure financial accuracy, consistency, and compliance across accounting processes What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of accounting or shared services experience Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, laws, and regulations High attention to detail and accuracy Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software Experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills What We Offer Competitive compensation package Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) and holidays Company-paid life insurance Employer contributions to Health Savings Accounts (HSA) Professional development and career growth opportunities Cell phone allowance Great work-life balance and a collaborative work environment If you're ready to lead a team, make an impact, and grow your career with an organization that values its people, we encourage you to apply!
