Financial Manager Ambler, PA 18 May 2026 22577536 Summary Ambler, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 2 Years Experience Master's degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Plan, direct, and coordinate the financial activities of a trucking and freight transportation company. Oversee accounting, budgeting, cash management, and financial reporting to ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, federal and state tax requirements, and transportation industry regulations. Develop strategies to maximize profitability, manage risk, and support business expansion. Direct treasury, financing, and investment activities, and provide senior management with financial guidance for strategic decision-making.
Specific duties include:
Direct and coordinate financial activities, including budgeting, accounting, forecasting, and financial reporting, in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements; Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate reporting; Develop financial strategies to support company objectives and long-term growth; Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions; Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships; oversee financing of transportation equipment and insurance programs; Monitor fleet operating costs (fuel, insurance, maintenance) and perform profitability analysis by route and service line; Ensure compliance with federal, state, and transportation-related tax filings, including fuel use and vehicle registration reporting; Supervise finance and accounting staff; recruit, train, and evaluate team performance; Evaluate data pertaining to operational costs and revenue performance to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement; Advise senior management on financial planning, risk management, and investment opportunities; and Participate in strategy development and long-term business planning, aligning financial goals with operational performance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field. and 2 years' experience in the job offered or in a related occupation involving financial or accounting management
REQUIRED SKILLS
Applied and developed skills/expertise in the following: Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis using standard corporate finance practices; Preparation of financial statements and compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP); Audit coordination and internal control implementation under accounting and audit frameworks; Cash flow, treasury, and working capital management, including vendor settlements, banking relations, and financial risk oversight; Advanced Excel modeling and data analytics for financial planning, cost analysis, and scenario projections; Integration of finance with operations data, using ERP/accounting/reporting systems and databases; and Financial risk management, including insurance, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
