Accounting Lead Inventory & Costing

To Apply for this Job Click Here Overview A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an Accounting Lead to oversee inventory and cost accounting activities within a multi‑site manufacturing or production environment. As a Lead, you will be working closely with operations and finance partners to align production data, inventory movements, and financial results. Key Responsibilities Oversee inventory and cost accounting processes, including valuation, costing, and reconciliations Lead month‑end close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold Analyze cost and usage variances and partner cross‑functionally to explain results Maintain documentation and internal controls in a compliance‑driven environment Support audits and inventory counts across multiple locations Identify and implement process improvements related to inventory accounting and reporting Lead, coach, and develop inventory or cost accounting staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory or cost accounting Experience in a manufacturing or production‑oriented environment Strong analytical, reconciliation, and internal control skills ERP system experience required; advanced Excel skills preferred CPA or similar certification a plus
