The flagship test is the Omega-3 Index, which was invented by OmegaQuant's founder, Dr. Bill Harris. OmegaQuant Analytics also owns and operates a subsidiary company, Parasol Nutrition, that provides dietary supplements. Job Summary OmegaQuant Analytics is seeking a part-time Accounting and HR Manager to join our team. In this role, you will perform standard bookkeeping/and accounting tasks in addition to basic human resources/payroll functions with a high level of attention to detail. This role can be performed remotely, in-person at our office in Sioux Falls, SD, or hybrid and will work very closely with OmegaQuant's management team. Essential Functions Bookkeeping/Accounting Prepare, review, and post journal entries to maintain an up-to-date general ledger. Perform routine monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare standard financial statements, including income statements, cash flow reports, and balance sheets. Perform month-end and year-end closing processes and address variances. Pull data and draft schedules for internal and external stakeholders. Perform standard cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and KPI reporting functions, and explanations of significant variances. Assist management with annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and financial planning. Coordinate with external accountants, tax preparers, auditors, payroll providers, banks, insurance providers and other financial service providers. Support work with external accounting firm to prepare tax and financial review documents. Complete monthly sales and use taxes and annual 1099s. Ensure financial practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Recommend and implement improvements to financial workflows, processes, reporting and record keeping. Human Resources/Payroll Lead recruiting and onboarding activities including writing job descriptions, posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating new hire paperwork. Own the HR/Payroll software system, Paylocity, to manage timecards, store employee information, and run bi-weekly payroll. Coordinate benefit selections, 401(k) contributions, and business insurance renewals. Core Competencies High attention to detail. Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision. Adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business. Knowledge and practice of GAAP principles in daily work. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Advanced degree or certification is a plus. At least two years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience. Experience with grant accounting is a plus. Some Human Resource experience preferred but not required. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel required.
