Accounting Manager (Hybrid)

Salary:

130K-140K A privately held, mid?market organization is seeking a hands?on Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations and manage the monthly close in a fast?paced, multi?entity environment. This role blends technical accounting execution with people leadership and process development and is well?suited for a manager who enjoys being deeply involved in the work while building structure and scalability. Why This Role Is Compelling Direct management of 4-6 accounting professionals , with the ability to help hire additional team members over time High level of ownership across close, controls, and process design Opportunity to build and formalize processes and procedures in an environment with manual workflows Exposure to ERP implementation and post?implementation optimization Fast?moving, operationally driven environment Competitive compensation with a performance?based bonus that is consistently paid Key Responsibilities Oversee day?to?day accounting activities across multiple entities, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Own and drive the monthly and annual close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis Review financial results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies Manage revenue recognition, accruals, and expense allocations in a high?volume operating environment Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals while remaining hands?on in execution Partner with Operations and Finance to resolve accounting issues and improve data quality and reporting Act as a primary contact for external audits, including preparation and response to audit requests Support ERP and SaaS systems, including reporting enhancements and future system initiatives Identify manual processes and lead efforts to automate, streamline, and scale accounting workflows Design, document, and implement accounting processes and procedures Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with internal requirements Required Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 6+ years of progressive accounting experience , including at least 2 years in a people?management role Proven experience operating in a multi?entity accounting environment Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial close processes Demonstrated ability to lead teams while remaining hands?on (player?coach) Experience building processes, procedures, and controls in evolving environments Strong Excel and data analysis skills Comfortable working in a fast?paced, high?volume setting Preferred Background CPA or CPA?eligible Experience in operationally intensive or transactional environments Prior exposure to ERP systems and system implementations If you are interested in this job or other Accounting and Finance career opportunities from LHH Recruitment Solutions please email Rami Muhanna at rami.muhanna@lhh.com or visit our website at www.lhh.com
