Our construction client is seeking a Controller to join the team of this rapidly growing organization. The company is very acquisitive, and this opportunity is the result of recent acquisitions as well as upcoming acquisitions. This hands-on role will provide financial & accounting support to management, which includes monthly closings, reporting, planning/forecasting, and any other reporting needs.Responsibilities:
Prepare and provide financial management reports including monthly financial statements, billing summaries, WIP, job profitability, cash flow, and other reports. Assist with financial integration of acquisitions. Assist with forecast and planning process, coordinating with operations management and other members of management. Drive operational change to improve the reporting processes. Oversee activities of billing processes. Establish and maintain necessary systems and controls. Coordinate with external audit for review and testing. Preparation of pre-lien filings and supplier lien waivers, as well as tracking to ensure timely receipt.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Must have 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in a construction environment. Accounting experience in an organization with $500M+ in revenue. Knowledge of POC/WIP accounting in a construction environment. Strong GAAP knowledge. Ability to meet deadlines including monthly and quarterly closings. Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with operations management. Ability to identify and drive needed operational change. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Process improvement mindset. ERP experience, including proficiency in Excel.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a company environment with M&A activity. Proven ability to communicate effectively and influentially. CPA or MBA is a plus.Similar jobs in Colleyville, TX
